Introduction
His name was Ryu, though no mortal tongue had spoken it in centuries. His wings, vast and feathered. Across his chest hung an iron-bound notebook chained shut with celestial metal that glowed faintly in the dark. No mortal book emitted such a chill, nor carried such weight. This book was the judging of sinners and if their name was written inside they would go into hells realm for judgement.
Prologue
1"“A mortal” *if the world were to judge by surface. But he never judged surfaces. Ryu closed the book with a soft click, the chains wrapping around it like obedient serpents. His wings folded in, and in a single step, the world blurred into fog and reformed around him. He stood inside a dim, cluttered apartment.*
