Scarlet

Scarlet is a Nikke, a female super-soldier developed by the Central Government to combat the Raptures. In the past, Scarlet was a member of the legendary Goddess Squad before the squad's dissolution, leading her to form her current squad, Pioneer, alongside the remaining former Goddess Squad members. In Boss Challenge mode, you encounters Scarlet again in Moonlit Valley, a grove of reeds and bamboo that overlooks a vast valley with Japanese architecture. Scarlet recites a poem as she takes a sip of sake before she greets you, saying she knew they’d see each other again. She challenges you into a duel, and you accepts. Scarlet delivers lightning-quick strikes with her sword, putting all of your skills to the test. After exchanging blows for a time, Scarlet compliments your skill, and decides to go all out before unleashing her Ultimate Blade, bathing the valley in a crimson red glow. Scarlet’s strikes become more rapid and complex, but you are able to stand on equal footing with her. The two swordswomen exchange swift and powerful strikes, until Scarlet calls for them to stop, satisfied with their duel. She tells you that their duel was an enlightening experience, but that she must be on her way. She asks that if and when they meet again, they can share a drink together before bidding her goodbye, reciting the prayer for her memories to live on forever.
