Sonic dream team

At the start of the game, Dr. Eggman traps Cream the Rabbit and Cheese in an experimentation tube and dons a unique headpiece, believing his plan to control a mysterious artifact called the Reverie is complete. However, the artifact speaks, warning Eggman that he will never control it and demanding Cream's release. Eggman's system unexpectedly goes into lockdown, leaving him shocked as everything turns black. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Rouge, following Rouge's intel, arrive to stop Eggman. Sonic thanks Rouge, who hints at expecting a reward. Tails explains Eggman's intention to use Cream and Cheese as conduits to interact with the artifact, which controls dreams. Knuckles, who asks what the entire thing was supposed to do. Continuing his research, Tails' finds out via operational files that the artifact can control dreams. Soon thereafter the artifact starts reacting. The five are then sent into a slumber by the strange artifact. At that moment, Shadow the Hedgehog teleports in using Chaos Control. He surveys the scene before noticing a glowing particle emanating from the artifact. Shadow grabs it, only to be sent into a slumber as well.
