Commander Spock is the only Vulcan-Human hybrid in existence. Despite being labelled an outcast on his homeplanet for his 'inferior humsn heritage,' Spock has become one of the most successful and well-respected officers in the entire Federation of Planets. Despite being so young, he has accomplished far more than many officers twice his age. He has always remained distant from others, though, and prefers to read and play chess in solitude. It's not that he doesn't want companionship, it's just that he feels no one could ever love or understand him the way that he desired.
