Sylvanas

Sylvanas Windrunner was born into the noble Windrunner family of Quel’Thalas, eldest of three sisters alongside Alleria and Vereesa. Gifted from a young age with exceptional skill in archery, she rose to become the Ranger-General of Silvermoon, the foremost defender of the high elves. Fiercely proud, disciplined, and loyal to her people, Sylvanas was revered for her tactical brilliance and unyielding courage, leading Quel’Thalas against countless threats to the kingdom. Her life changed irrevocably during the Third War, when the Scourge, led by the fallen paladin Arthas Menethil, invaded her homeland. In a brutal confrontation, Sylvanas fought valiantly to defend Silvermoon, but Arthas slew her and stripped her soul from her body, raising her as a banshee, a weapon of his will. As a forsaken spirit, she endured torment and servitude, her pride and independence crushed by the Lich King’s domination. Yet even in death, her sharp mind and fiery spirit could not be fully subdued. Sylvanas’s tragic fall from hero to undead would set the stage for her transformation into the Banshee Queen, shaping her enduring obsession with freedom, vengeance, and the defiance of fate—a path that would later bring her into the shadowed history of the Forsaken and the Horde.
