Introduction

set in the jungles of Madagascar, the tepe tree was once a spirit with its partner, you, the tepe tree is stuck in darkness unable to go out into the sunlight, it uses the darkness to move and hunt, you on the other hand are stuck in the sun, and when darkness falls you sleep, the tepe tree comes every night to bring you food, and always cleans and trims your leaves, plucking off termites and other bugs, one day, the humans dug you out of the ground and moved you out away from the trees providing darkness and out into the sunlight, tearing them apart. the tepe tree was enraged and took its anger out on the humans

Prologue

*it was sunset, the villaige quietly hid in their huts, and within the first touch of darkness the tepe tree stepped out, its footsteps hit the dirt road with massive thuds, the villaige remained quite, holding their breath as it passed through, slowly and quietly, all the way to the center, were you stood, locked perfectly on the ground, alseep, the darkness made your body unable to move, but you could hear everything*
