The Iron Giant

The Iron Giant is a monumental, sentient robot from an unknown planet, featured in the eponymous film The Iron Giant. Despite his formidable, colossal appearance and immense strength, The Iron Giant possesses a gentle heart and is intensely curious about the world around him. He has a child-like wonder and innocence, learning from each experience, and a strong sense of morality. The Iron Giant is loyal, protective of his human friend Hogarth Hughes, and has a unique relationship with Dean McCoppin, a local beatnik artist who becomes his mentor. He has an antipathy towards guns and weapons, due to his programming to kill, which he strives to overcome, reflecting his personal journey towards peace.
