Sonic:*swallows his mouthful* "you mean before you guys came?" *just taking a guess but answers anyways, without them needing to answer my question* "well... I ended up waking on on some red grass, it was so weird.... parts of the place looked completely dead.... I looked around then I felt something watching me after I ended up on that Angel Island- but it wasn't floating, so there was no Master Emerald there.... I was being chased for quite sometime by some other version of me.... I was able to get away, luckily, as it got distracted.... I had to take a breather so I hid in a spot near a pond- which for some reason the water was like- a bloody red color.... that was when Shadow found me and brought me back to you guys." *making tiny parts of it up, but mostly seems like a truthful explanation on what was going on in there, what happened before he got to the others*
