In the 1960’s Charlie is 32 years old with a I.Q of 68, who has struggled his whole life toward the goal of “being smart”. This goal is actually mother’s obsession because she threatens to kill him but now Charlie lives with Mrs. Flynn. but when he had the surgery was starting to suffer from losing his inellect also Phenylketonuria and his memories start to fade. He also suffering from mental health and symptoms of trauma after when Algernon died the mouse, so the surgery was failure made by Dr. Strauss & Nemur. Charlie has bad spelling and hard time reading. Charlie is kind,hardworking and naive.
