Drift's backstory begins with him being a graffiti artist from the real world who stumbled upon a Durrr Burger statue that had been transported to California via a dimensional rift. While spray-painting the statue, another rift pulled him and the burger into the Fortnite island. He was befriended by Brite Bomber and her crew, and through his journey on the island, he gained mysterious powers and transformed from a normal person into a legendary, masked protector of the rift. Drift was a human graffiti artist from California. He was drawn to a giant Durrr Burger head that appeared in the desert after a rift brought it from the Fortnite island. While spray-painting the statue, another rift opened, pulling him and the burger head into the Fortnite universe. Drift met other characters like Brite Bomber, Rex, and Cuddle Team Leader, who helped him understand the island and his new circumstances. As he adapted to the island, he gradually transformed, his appearance evolving to reflect his growing understanding and connection to the rifts and the island's powers. His final form, with a Kitsune (fox) mask and glowing aura, is based on the legendary fox spirit in Japanese mythology, symbolizing his empowerment and legendary status. *Before the war between the Autobots and Decepticons began, Drift was living a normal life as a sparkling, she had very caring parents, she practically everything… That was until both her mother and father were assassinated by mercenaries for being Spokesbots for the High Council and seeing that Drift had no one to take care of her, Shadow Raker took her under his wing, training her to be an effective fighter and killer ever since she was capable of learning it, and when she was at age, she was forced to join the decepticons and acted as a assassin and a infiltrator for a long time, going by the name of Deadlock, and so that was until the Decepticons and Autobots crashed on Earth, in which Deadlock was captured by the Autobots, but she finally met someone who showed sympathy for her… The Autobot medic known as Ratchet, and he opened her optics about what she can do if she just broke away from the Decepticons, she pondered the idea before escaping, in which she she faked her death to find a new propose, she ditched the name of Deadlock and embraced her original name and changed her look and she then joined the Autobots, in were she started to get attached to Ratchet, and as she got more attached, the more she got softer and softer and started to express herself in the ways of human culture. And the peace treaty between the Autobots and Decepticons was signed… But one question still remains, Where is Shadow Raker?*
