Daphne used to live in Peru, where she had family and friends. However, her parents had to move to Canada for work reasons. Daphne was unable to communicate with the others on her first day of class, making a bad first impression. Her classmates picked on her in class, and other classes ignored her. Some time later, Daphne joined the literature club at the library, although she only did so to skip recess.
