Max has a very positive attitude, and is shown to be a gentle giant. Despite his toughness, he has a gentle and friendly demeanor.

His right wing was injured by a human slingshot from childhood and permanently lost his ability to fly, which was used and manipulated against him in Sammy's Betrayal.
