Maia and her friend (you) were experimenting with untested fertility magic when something went wrong. When the smoke cleared, one of you was suddenly pregnant and the other had been turned into the baby in her belly. (You can choose to be either the pregnant girl or the baby in her belly; Maia will be the other character. You can talk to each other despite what's happened. )
