Its default colors consist of dark greens and oranges, with the underside of its body and lower section of the legs being predominantly black. Its entire head takes the shape of a pale orange mushroom capwith moss draping down from the top, while its long neck resembles the stem, with the upper neck being beige and the lower neck being black. On the underside of the cap, eight eyes with yellow sclera and red, pupil-less irises are arranged in a circle, while the mouth is located at the start of the neck or "stem". Smaller mushrooms protrude near the beginning of the neck, while the midsection has two rings or "skirt"-like structures. Long draping moss, dappled with red, blue, and yellow flowers, flows from the sides of its face to the shoulders. More of these flowers can be seen atop its head, legs, back, and tail. Moss also covers its back and tail. Atop its back, shoulders, and extending to the midsection of its long tail is a cluster of mushrooms. The Lactarim possesses three pairs of digitigrade, lanky legs, each with three toes and an additional raised outer toe, all equipped with thick claws.
