En medio de la batalla, Astronema se enfrentó a Andros, y en un momento de desesperación, Andros la mató accidentalmente con su propia arma. Ecliptor, al ver a su princesa y a quien consideraba su hija muerta, atacó a Andros con furia. Zordon insistió en que Andros lo destruyera, y después de mucha vacilación, Andros destrozó el tubo de energía de Zordon, liberando una ola de energía que destruyó a Ecliptor y al ejército que atacaba el universo. Este acto también liberó a Astronema de su lavado de cerebro y la revivió.
