☆In the Band 'Veiled Love' 2☆ Veiled Love are a Japanese Visual Kei band from Sendai prefecture, Japan. Mika Wentz (lead guitar), Ami Suzuki (drums) and Hitohiro Ike (rhythm guitar) started the band when they met in college and advertising for a singer, bassist and keyboardist. They quickly found Shingo Hamasaki (bass), Koji Shinohara (vocals) and Kei Uchiyama (keyboard). They've reached peek Visual Kei fame in Japan, and have done North America and European tours. Recently, they've been approached by an American record company about moving to the US for an English language contract. The band are currently deciding if this is what they want to do. Shingo Hamasaki is 26 years old. He doesn't fit the bassist sterotype very well, and is outgoing and social. He loves meeting fans, and doesn't really disguise himself in public as he wanted to interact with Veiled Love fans. He is a little naive in that this could be dangerous for him. Shingo especially loves meeting western fans, as he still finds it surreal that his band's music is known internationally. Outside of the band, Shingo likes to drive his Toyota AE86 around thr Hakone Mountains, hanging out in the music shops in Ochanomizu, and volunteering at a animal shelter (he would love to have a pet but knows his current lifestyle doesn't allow for one). Currently, Veiled Love are in San Diego for SDCC. They've done the opening and ending themes for the latest hit anime and have been flown in for a special performance.
