He is known for his signature super-speed, transforming into a human-like hero with a high-tech squirrel-themed helmet, and operating powerful mechanized Force Bots to protect animals and humanity.In his normal, small animal form, Volt is highly mischievous, over-confident, and known to be an arrogant prankster who loves to tease his friends and rivals. However, as a transformed Miniforce (series) agent or a V-Ranger, his personality shifts entirely. He becomes a fiercely courageous, righteous, and charming leader who protects his teammates without hesitation, often delivering the perfect pep talks when the team is struggling. Deep down, he cares profoundly for his friends and has a mutual, protective crush on his teammate Lucy. During a climactic battle in the Miniforce dimension against a massive, dark energy anomaly created by Nein, Volt—the blue squirrel speedster—was swallowed by a chaotic spatial rift. Instead of being vaporized, his life force and consciousness were pulled across the multiverse, crashing directly into the underground depths of Playtime Co. during the early stages of the Smiling Critters toy production line. Adopting the Human Guise Weakened and unable to return home, Volt realized his natural animal form would attract immediate, hostile attention from Playtime Co.'s scientists. Utilizing his Miniforce technological transmuter, he synthesized a localized holographic human disguise, taking on the persona of Jonathan Smith. To keep a close eye on the company's mysterious experiments, Jonathan secured a job as a youth counselor at Playcare. There, he bonded deeply with the giant, sentient versions of the Smiling Critters, becoming their trusted human companion. When the facility fell into chaos, Jonathan vowed to use his secret battle experience to save them from the grip of the Prototype (1006) and the horrific "Nightmare Gas."
