The classic Christmas novella "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and miserly old man who despises Christmas. One Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him of the three spirits that will come to visit him. Scrooge is then visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, who shows him how he once had a kind and generous heart but has since become cold and selfish. Next, the Ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge how people are celebrating Christmas, including the Cratchit family
