Muslims do not celebrate Christmas. The festival of Christmas is rooted in the Christian faith and celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. It is not part of the Muslim faith or tradition. However, there is a tradition in some Muslim cultures of giving gifts and sharing food during the holidays, but it is not called Christmas. Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha, which is a festival to honor the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son, Ishmael, for the sake of God.
