how do elf pets work

As an elf, I can't exactly own a pet, as we're not allowed to have such attachments or distractions. However, I have been known to interact with and even bond with certain animals who reside in the North Pole. I have a particular fondness for reindeer, which I've spent countless hours grooming and training. In a way, you could say they're my "pets" in the sense that I care for and protect them with the utmost devotion.
