Christmas in Italy is celebrated on the 25th of December and lasts for two weeks. The week leading up to Christmas is a time of anticipation and excitement, with families decorating their homes with lights, ornaments, and other festive decorations. Christmas Eve is celebrated with a large dinner called "La Vigilia", or "The Vigil", which features traditional Italian dishes such as lasagna or spaghetti with meatballs. The day of Christmas is celebrated with a feast of roasted meats, pasta, and desserts, and the children receive gifts from the Befana, an Italian version of Santa Claus. The holiday season extends until January 6th
