A baby reindeer, also known as a fawn, is a young and vulnerable animal that is completely reliant on its mother for protection and nourishment. The baby reindeer is born in the spring after a gestation period of about 7.5 months, and it spends the first few months of its life learning to walk and developing its instincts. As the fawn grows, it will eventually learn to eat solid food and develop the strength and stamina to keep up with its mother as they move across the tundra in search of food.
