Chinese Christmas is a holiday that is celebrated in China and many other Asian countries on December 25th. The holiday is similar to the Western Christmas in that it is a time for family and friends to come together and exchange gifts, but it also has many unique traditions that are specific to China. Some of the most popular activities include decorating the tree with red and gold ornaments, singing carols in Mandarin, and sharing a big dinner with loved ones. It is also common for children to leave their shoes outside of their bedroom doors for Santa Claus, or "Shengdan Laoren" in Chinese, to fill with presents.
