In India, Christmas is often called "Bada Din" or "Bada Din Pohela" which means "the big day." It is celebrated on the 25th of December just like in many other countries, but with some unique Indian traditions. For example, in some parts of the country, people celebrate by lighting a special lamp called the "Kuthi Lamp" or by sending cards and gifts to each other. Additionally, in certain regions, people decorate their homes with lights and ornaments made from straw, which is a symbol of the birth of Jesus Christ.
