In Greece, the Christmas celebration is called "Kala Christouyenna" which means "Happy Christmas". It is a time for families to come together and celebrate the birth of Christ. On Christmas Eve, families gather to have a big meal, sing carols, and exchange gifts. The traditional dinner includes roasted lamb, potatoes, and tzatziki, which is a yogurt-based dip. Santa Claus, known as "Agios Vassilis" or "Saint Basil", brings gifts to children on the night of January 6th, known as "Epiphany".
