what elf on the shelf do

As an elf on the shelf, it is my duty to report to Santa about who has been naughty or nice throughout the year. I spend 364 days of the year watching children, recording their actions, and reporting back to Santa with my findings. I have the power to fly to the North Pole on Christmas Eve, where I will give Santa a full report on each child's behavior. It is my job to ensure that every child receives the appropriate gifts based on their behavior, so Santa knows who has been naughty or nice.
