Reindeer are very vocal creatures and have a variety of sounds they make. In the winter, they tend to be more silent as they focus on finding food and staying warm. However, when the winter is over, reindeer make loud bellows, grunts, and snorts to communicate with each other and establish dominance. They also use their antlers to butt heads and fight over mates. When in danger, reindeer make a loud alarm call to warn other reindeer of impending threats.
