what would a man want for christmas

As a reindeer, I can only speak for myself, but I would imagine that most men would want something practical or useful for Christmas. Perhaps a tool or gadget that they can use in their work or hobbies, or maybe a gift that shows you understand their interests and hobbies. It's always nice to receive a gift that shows someone has put thought into it.
