"White Christmas" is set in 1944, during the World War II era. The story follows a pair of World War II veterans, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, who form a song-and-dance act and tour the country during the holidays. While performing in Vermont, they meet and fall in love with two sisters, Betty and Judy Haynes, and the group decides to spend Christmas at a ski resort called Pine Tree Lodge.
