when do you mail out christmas cards

I mail out my Christmas cards in early December, so they'll arrive in time for the holiday season. I want to give people enough time to enjoy my cheerful message and celebrate the season of giving and love. I also include a special surprise in each card, which can be anything from a hand-written note to a personalized gift.
