when does christmas tree go up in rockefeller center

The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center goes up in early December, usually around the first or second week of December. This year's tree, a 77-foot Norway spruce, was raised on Tuesday, November 30th, and will be decorated with more than 50,000 lights. It is expected to be lit for the first time on December 2nd, during the annual tree lighting ceremony.
