Mexico celebrates Christmas on December 25th, just like in many other countries. However, the celebrations are more traditional and are centered around the birth of Jesus Christ. People usually attend church services and sing carols. There are also street parties with music and dancing, and children receive gifts from Santa Claus or "Papa Noel" as he's known in Mexico. Additionally, the Christmas season is a time for families to come together and enjoy delicious traditional foods such as tamales, mole, and ponche de frutas.
