New York City has some of the most spectacular holiday light displays in the world. Every year, from late November to early January, the city is transformed into a magical winter wonderland with dazzling lights, giant Christmas trees, and festive decorations all over the city. In mid-November, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is lit, marking the official start of the holiday season in NYC. The tree is a massive 75-foot Norway spruce that is decorated with 50,000 multicolored LED lights.
