when should i take down my christmas decorations

Christmas decorations should be taken down after the 12th night of Christmas, which is the 5th of January. It is considered unlucky to leave them up longer than that. However, you may want to wait until Epiphany, January 6th, before taking them down because that is the day that the Three Wise Men are said to have arrived at the manger in Bethlehem. It is considered a sign of good luck to leave decorations up until that day.
