The last white Christmas in Maryland occurred on December 25, 2009. The state received 2.3 inches of snow in Baltimore and 4.2 inches of snow in Hagerstown, providing a beautiful backdrop for the holiday season. Since then, the state has experienced only a few snow events around Christmas time, with the most recent being a small snowstorm in December 2019. Although snow on Christmas Day may be rare in Maryland, the state has seen its fair share of cold and snowy winters in the past.
