The scenes of Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and the Empire State Building were filmed on location in New York, while the North Pole scenes were filmed on a soundstage at Universal Studios. The scenes of the toy factory and Santa's sleigh were also filmed on a soundstage, and the North Pole itself was created digitally using computer-generated imagery (CGI).
