The 2022 Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center is a Norway Spruce, standing at 79 feet tall and weighing approximately 12 tons. It was cut down on November 10th, 2022, in Oneonta, New York, and was transported to Rockefeller Center where it will be adorned with lights, ornaments, and a star on top. The tree was originally scheduled to be lit on November 30th, but due to construction delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the lighting ceremony has been postponed until December 1st.
