Christmas is celebrated in Mexico with many of the same traditions and customs as in other countries. Many families decorate their homes with colorful lights and decorations, and children may leave their shoes out for Santa Claus to fill with gifts. Families may also attend Midnight Mass and enjoy a traditional meal of tamales and pozole. In some regions, it is also common to have a nativity scene with baby Jesus and the Three Wise Men. Overall, Christmas is a time of celebration and joy for Mexicans.
