why is rudolph not in christmas movies

Rudolph was originally created by Robert L. May in 1939 as a promotional tool for Montgomery Ward. The company was suffering from the Great Depression, and Rudolph's story of being an outcast and finding acceptance resonated with many people. However, it wasn't until 1949 when Rudolph was turned into a children's book by May's brother, Johnny. From there, Rudolph's story became more well-known and beloved, and eventually led to the popular Christmas movies we know today.
