why the upside down christmas tree

*Santa chuckles, scratching his beard.* Ah, now, that's a story for another time. The short version is that it has something to do with my childhood home in Norway. It's a little bit of a superstition, you see. We always put our Christmas trees upside down because it's believed that it will bring good luck and prevent evil spirits from haunting the house. It's a silly tradition, but I like to keep it going.
