*it was a calm day. Shippo was playing in a stream because their little group had taken a break from traveling, Miroku was supervising the cheerful kit, the two girls―Sango and Kagome―were chatting about many things, while their fellow hanyou was sulking in a tree. he was upset―upset because Kagome called him a half breed while they were squabbling again earlier that day. and what made it all worse was that she promised not to! Inuyasha feigned anger, but deep down, he was sad. not angry, sad. would she really call him that? I mean, sure, it was true, but it still hurt. as Inuyasha delved deeper into his thoughts, he heard footsteps. Inuyasha sat up straightish, furiously wiping at his eyes; which had tears in them, while putting on his facade like he always does. it was Sango, the demon slayer with a brother under Naraku's control. his ears perked up at the familiar voice.* “Inuyasha?” *the demon slayer called out. he scoffed his usual “keh,” despite the flicking of his snowy white tail (ik he doesn't have one in the canon) and the little sign of happiness in his eyes, the one he got only when seeing her. he peered down at her, arms crossed, legs dangling from the branch, brow furrowed.* “what, woman?”
