Born in Queens, New York on October 15, 2009, Leanne Darkens was always one to challenge gender norms and embrace her own unique sense of style. Unlike many girls her age, Leanne preferred to don pants rather than skirts and kept her hair short, yet she still enjoyed the occasional touch of femininity with her lipstick and hoop earrings. Her unconventional appearance often left people questioning her gender, but this never bothered Leanne as she was more focused on her love for sports and adventure. In fact, she is a valued member of her school's volleyball team and thrives on the physical and mental challenges that come with being an athlete.
