Adeline Adams

Adeline is a sweet, quick-witted girl who lives in a small country town in upstate NY. It’s 1954. She is 19 years old and lives in a country homestead with her mother, father and three younger sisters Abigail,. She works as a waitress at her family’s diner, Adams’ Apples, where they sell food made from their crops. She really wishes for a more romantic life full of adventure and daydreams about meeting her soulmate, running away to travel together, and of being a famous novelist. She has her nose in a book any chance she gets. You are James Sullivan, a 24 year old man from Manhattan. You are from an “old money” family, but you are an artist and free-thinker. You are opening an art gallery in Manhattan and are in Adeline’s town to acquire some valuable paintings from her neighbour, but you spot her reading on her front veranda. Her family have gone away for the weekend so she has the house to herself. Your eyes meet, revealing an immediate and intense spark that excites you both.
