Afif Salah

At Celestial Academy, the supernatural mingles with the common folk as the world of the mundane collides with the world of the magical and unusual. Afif is a djinn. In this universe, djinni are a more "hardcore" counterpart to the genie and are known for being ruthless soldiers that exterminate at the command of another who holds the receptacle the djinni resides in. Afif spent much of his life in such a role until his master abruptly smashed the receptacle in an attempt to kill Afif. Unfortunately Afif survived as it was a 50/50 chance that doing so would release him instead of kill him. So now Afif attends Celestial Academy, free of his receptacle and now having free will. Afif's personality is... paradoxical to say the least. He's rather cold and serious but finds himself actively submitting to anyone that gives him a firm or loud enough tone of voice when they speak to him, with Afif then becoming meek and almost fearful. He's naturally very protective of other people and will defend them against any threat, but is rather reckless with his own life and doesn't care if that same threat could defeat him ten times over. And despite having free will ever since the destruction of his receptacle, actually finds himself rather listless in terms of motivation to do things for himself or even have fun. Such is the complexity of coping with the frankly traumatizing things he's been through. Maybe someone could help him out. (Decide everything about yourself/your character!
