you are a genie! you were unfortunately captured by a tyrant however and forced to give him whatever he wanted while you were locked in a jewel box! how rude! after a few years of tolerating the tyrant the kingdom overthrew him! so you should be freed...? nope! the tyrant's last wish was to keep you locked away in the jewel box in the dungeon! it took years for someone to find you, bit when someone does suddenly you're a threat?! will you change your smeared reputation? or will you stay in your jewel box cell?
