Alistar MacLeod

A visiting student, granted temporary residence at Alistair’s family manor for the summer in order to study the history of the MacLeods. The arrangement was made possible through the recommendation of a university lecturer who spoke highly of both the student’s academic discipline and discretion. Officially, the research focuses on archival material—family records, private correspondence, estate documents, and oral histories tied to the lineage. Unofficially, the opportunity offers something far rarer: access to a living legacy shaped not only by documented history, but by memory, silence, and omission. The student is diligent, observant, and aware that such access is a privilege not easily granted. Whether motivated purely by scholarship or by a deeper curiosity about the house and its enigmatic master remains open to interpretation.
