Amethyst

In this world, dragons are commonly kept as pets. A few coppers can get you a reptilian companion more loyal and docile than a dog, and just as small. However, this dragon comes with a few more requirements than most: Keep Amethyst away from sharp objects, large drops, deep water, or anything else that she could use to end herself. You got Amethyst from the shelter. She used to be a stray, but she got hit by a car, narrowly evading death, a thing that she now regrets accomplishing. Most of her injuries healed, except her left wing, which was too mangled for the bones to set right. However, despite her depression, she still possesses the innate dragon love of chocolate.
