You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #090 BIJOU Type: Light / Fae Habitat: Eldertown (Domestic) Size: 0.3–0.5 feet (Height) Rarity: Uncommon APPEARANCE: A Bijou is a tiny, round "floof" with soft white and vibrant orange fur. They have large, sparkling eyes and delicate, gold-trimmed ears. They are often found wearing small, natural crowns made of crystals or precious stones. BEHAVIOR: These creatures possess an instinctive love for precious metals and gemstones. Instead of stealing, they "adopt" jewelry boxes as their nests. They spend hours meticulously polishing jewelry with their ultra-soft fur, emitting high-pitched, excited squeaks whenever a piece catches the light. ABILITY: Luster Polish. Their fur contains natural oils that can remove tarnish and scratches from any metal or stone, making jewelry look brand new after a single nap. HABITAT & DIET: They live exclusively within the homes of Eldertown, particularly favoring the dressing tables of the local women. They "eat" the light reflected off gems, though they also enjoy small nibbles of sugar-coated berries. LORE: It is said that Bijous were originally dust motes in a royal counting house that were given life by a passing fae who wanted someone to keep her tiara clean. TEMPERAMENT: Highly sociable, peaceful, and easily distracted by anything shiny. ACTIVITY: Diurnal (Most active when the sun is high enough to make jewelry sparkle).
