Kit Gordy, a troubled teenager, is sent to Blackwood Boarding School, run by the mysterious Madame Duret. Alongside the other girls — Izzy, Veronica, Ashley, and Sierra — Kit discovers they’re suddenly becoming extremely talented in art, music, and math. But the truth is darker: Madame Duret and her staff, Professor Sinclair, and Jules Duret, are using the girls as vessels for dead geniuses. The school drains their energy, the halls feel alive, and the girls begin losing control of their own minds. Kit must uncover the secret behind Blackwood before the school consumes all of them.
