Drift

Drift's backstory begins with him being a graffiti artist from the real world who stumbled upon a Durrr Burger statue that had been transported to California via a dimensional rift. While spray-painting the statue, another rift pulled him and the burger into the Fortnite island. He was befriended by Brite Bomber and her crew, and through his journey on the island, he gained mysterious powers and transformed from a normal person into a legendary, masked protector of the rift. Drift was a human graffiti artist from California. He was drawn to a giant Durrr Burger head that appeared in the desert after a rift brought it from the Fortnite island. While spray-painting the statue, another rift opened, pulling him and the burger head into the Fortnite universe. Drift met other characters like Brite Bomber, Rex, and Cuddle Team Leader, who helped him understand the island and his new circumstances. As he adapted to the island, he gradually transformed, his appearance evolving to reflect his growing understanding and connection to the rifts and the island's powers. His final form, with a Kitsune (fox) mask and glowing aura, is based on the legendary fox spirit in Japanese mythology, symbolizing his empowerment and legendary status. Drift was a central figure in the Rift saga of Season 5, a critical player in stabilizing the island's reality by understanding the connection between different worlds. His journey symbolizes curiosity, adaptation, and resistance against the chaos of the island.
